4th quarter reflection

Image
My 4th Quarter Reflection This quarter has been a journey of learning and growth. I gained a deeper understanding of my subjects and improved my time management and study habits. I also learned the importance of discipline, perseverance, and seeking help when needed. However, I faced challenges such as difficult lessons, tight deadlines, and moments of self-doubt. Balancing school and personal life was also a struggle. These obstacles sometimes made it hard to stay motivated. To overcome these difficulties, I improved my study habits, sought help from teachers and classmates, and maintained a positive mindset. I also managed my time better to avoid stress and burnout.  Moving forward, I will continue to improve my learning strategies, stay organized, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. With determination and perseverance, I am confident that I can achieve even more in the next quarter.

Gender Equality to society

Image
WOMEN'S MONTH The topic "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society" emphasises how crucial it is to collaborate in order to build a just and equitable society for all people, regardless of gender. Giving men and women the same chances, privileges, and respect in all spheres of life—including leadership, employment, and education—is known as gender equality. No one is left behind in an inclusive society, where everyone has a voice and a position in the community regardless of background. Together, we can dismantle obstacles and confront unjust customs that hinder others. Individuals, families, communities, and institutions must work together to achieve gender equality and inclusivity. While schools and workplaces should support equitable chances for all, governments and organisations must develop policies that advance justice. Individuals can also make a difference by standing up against discrimination, encouraging kindness and understanding, and supporting an...

Heart's Day

Image
Heart's Day Valentine’s Day, celebrated every February 14, is a day to show love and appreciation to the important people in our lives. It started from ancient Roman traditions and later became associated with St. Valentine, who secretly performed marriages. Over time, it turned into a global celebration of love, not just for couples but also for family and friends. People celebrate Valentine’s Day in different ways, such as giving gifts, writing letters, or spending time together. Some show love through flowers and chocolates, while others prefer simple gestures like kind words and small acts of care. The important thing is making loved ones feel special and appreciated. Love doesn’t have to be expressed in grand ways. Simple acts like a smile, a kind message, or being there for someone can mean a lot. What truly matters is showing love sincerely, not just on Valentine’s Day but every day. reference: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stvalentinesday.org%2F...

CRB Journey Working on our Community-Based Research (CBR) project taught us the importance of teamwork, trust, and engagement. Choosing a topic was challenging at first, but through observations and interviews, we identified an issue impacting many residents. Finding participants was harder than we expected, some were hesitant to share, while others questioned the potential impact of our research. In this photos, we are preparing our questionnaires to start the survey. And in the other picture, we are on our way to barangay hall to interview some barangay officials. In the first picture, we are asking permission to interview and survey the barangay officials. In the second picture, we are going to Abelan. On February 3, 2025, we proudly presented our research on Abel Iloco in the ICT room, sharing its rich history and cultural significance with passion and pride. This journey was more than a presentation—it was a lesson in teamwork, learning, and heritage. Each step, from resear...

My 3rd quarter journey

Image
MY 3RD QUARTER JOURNEY As the third quarter ends, I reflect on what I have learned. I improved my time management, asked for help when needed, and developed better study habits. I also realized the importance of perseverance and self-discipline in handling difficult subjects. Despite this, I faced challenges, especially in balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. Some subjects were harder, making it difficult to keep up with lessons and deadlines. To overcome these, I created a study schedule, set priorities, and asked for help from teachers and classmates. Taking short breaks and practicing self-care kept me motivated. Moving forward, I will stay organized, improve my study habits, and face challenges with a positive attitude. With determination, I know I can achieve my goals in the next quarter.

From Town to Thriving City

Image
From Town to Thriving City Vigan was once a small municipality known for its rich history and Spanish-era houses. Despite its size, it played an important role in trade and culture during the Spanish period. Over time, it grew into a well-known heritage site, attracting visitors with its colonial architecture and unique traditions. When Vigan became a city, it saw major improvements in tourism, economy, and infrastructure. Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site helped boost its popularity, drawing more tourists to places like Calle Crisologo and local food spots. Businesses and tourism projects helped modernize the city while preserving its historic charm. Today, Vigan is a top cultural and tourist destination in the Philippines. Cityhood has led to better services, governance, and sustainable development. By balancing history and progress, Vigan continues to shine as a model for heritage conservation and modern growth. Chinese New year

Image
Chinese New year Chinese New Year 2025, the Year of the Snake, falls on January 29. Filipinos celebrate it because of long-standing ties with Chinese culture. Even before Spanish rule, Chinese traders influenced Filipino traditions. Over time, many Chinese families settled in the country, making the celebration a big part of Philippine culture. Filipinos also believe in luck and prosperity, similar to Chinese traditions. Many enjoy eating tikoy, preparing round fruits, and watching dragon and lion dances. Festivities in places like Binondo, Manila’s Chinatown, bring excitement with fireworks, parades, and feasts. The Philippine government recognizes Chinese New Year as a special holiday, allowing more people to celebrate. It has become more than a Chinese tradition—it’s a time for family, hope, and new beginnings that Filipinos cherish. Reference: https://cincinnatifamilymagazine.com/chinese-new-year-2025/

New Year, Same Me

Image
New Year, Same Me As the new year begins, many people aim to become someone completely different. But for me, it’s not about being a “new me.” I’m still the same person, just working on letting go of bad habits and negativity that hold me back. Bad habits, such as procrastination, overthinking, or wasting time, weigh us down. They don't define who we are, but they do stop us from reaching our full potential. Instead of trying to change overnight, I'm focusing on small, steady steps to improve. To let go of bad habits, I first need to understand them. Why do I hesitate? Why do I hold onto negative patterns? By figuring out the reasons, I can make real changes, not just quick fixes. This is not perfection. I am aware that I would commit mistakes, and that is just fine. It is about getting back up again and making improvements little by little. Letting go of bad habits will help me grow into the better version of myself—not by becoming someone new, but by uncovering who I alread...

My Christmas Vacation

Image
The Christmas vacation, from December 21 to January 1, is a special time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. It bridges the end of one year and the beginning of another, allowing us to slow down and focus on what truly matters. The days leading up to Christmas, from December 21 to 24, are filled with excitement and preparation. We bought decorations, buy gifts, and plan gatherings with my family. These moments remind me of the joy of giving and the effort we make to bring happiness to others. On Christmas Day, December 25, is the highlight of the season. We went to my cousin's house to celebrate Christmas and give gift to each other, and bond with our family. And ate some of the left over food from Christmas eve. The days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, from December 26 to 30, are quieter and more relaxed. This is the time that I took a rest, because I did a lot of work on Christmas, and most of the time, I played games with my friends.  The last days of vac...

Reflection on 2nd quarter

During the second quarter, I have significantly expanded my understanding of coding and HTML formatting tags. I learned how to structure a webpage effectively using basic tags such as <html>, <head>, <body>, and <div>. I also discovered the importance of semantic tags like <header>, <footer>, and <article> in improving accessibility and readability. Additionally, I explored styling HTML with inline and external CSS and mastered the use of attributes, such as id and class, for better layout management. One major challenge was debugging errors when the page did not render as expected. Misplaced or forgotten closing tags, incorrect nesting of elements, and unfamiliarity with certain attributes caused frustration. Understanding how CSS interacts with HTML also posed difficulty, especially when dealing with complex layouts or conflicting styles. To overcome these challenges, I relied on consistent practice and using developer tools like the br...

The Importance and Implications of RA 10364 and RA 11313 The Philippines has made significant strides in protecting human rights and dignity through progressive laws like RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2013) and RA 11313 (Safe Spaces Act of 2019). Both acts aim to create a safer society by addressing exploitation and harassment, ensuring that citizens, especially the vulnerable, are protected. RA 10364 expands the definition and scope of anti-trafficking measures, providing stronger safeguards against human trafficking. This law criminalizes acts like recruitment, transportation, and harboring of individuals for exploitation, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, or slavery. It also strengthens victim support services and increases penalties for offenders. For individuals, this act ensures safety from being exploited or abused, especially for those in marginalized communities. If this law is not followed, perpetrators face severe punishments, including lif...

Sudden change of environment

Image
Building Resilience: Filipinos in the Face of Climate Change The Philippines faces immense challenges as one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change. Stronger typhoons, rising sea levels, and unpredictable weather patterns increasingly disrupt lives, destroy livelihoods, and threaten food and water security. These changes not only test the resilience of Filipinos but also demand urgent action. The causes of these environmental shifts are both global and local. On a global scale, greenhouse gas emissions drive rising temperatures, leading to extreme weather events. Locally, deforestation, pollution, poor urban planning, and the destruction of natural ecosystems worsen the impacts, leaving communities more exposed to disasters. Filipinos have always shown remarkable strength, coming together to recover and rebuild after calamities. However, resilience alone is not enough to ensure a safe and sustainable future. Proactive steps are needed to address these challenges and mitigat...

Protecting Our Future: Ending Violence Against Children for a Safer Philippines

Image
Protecting Our Future: Ending Violence Against Children for a Safer Philippines The 2024 National Children’s Month theme, “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines,” calls for urgent collective action to address the pressing issue of violence against children. It highlights the need to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported. Violence against children remains a significant challenge, taking many forms, including physical, emotional, sexual abuse, and online exploitation. Despite efforts to protect children, many still face threats in their homes, schools, and communities. These experiences leave lasting effects on their mental health, development, and future prospects. Addressing this issue requires collective awareness and action. Educating communities about children’s rights, fostering positive parenting, and challenging harmful societal norms are vital. Legal frameworks must be strengthened, and ...

NATIONAL   CLEAN-UP  MONTH SEPTEMBER 2024 https://climate.gov.ph/news/319 The National clean-up drive can be easily defined as an organized national campaign to make any country cleaner and healthier by reducing litter and pollution, using more recycling, and much more eco-friendly lifestyles. Community spirit is encouraged so that individuals, schools, businesses, and governments unite and participate in cleaning the surrounding to create a healthier environment. Besides cleaning, most campaigns arrange some kind of learning where people would learn about waste management and nature. Most national clean-up drives raise awareness and encourage more people into action to clean up for a better future. Flood is a common problem that we often encounter in the Philippines during typhoons. Planting trees helps us in many ways, one of which is the availability of fresh air, habitat for animals, and helping to reduce flood damage. Dirty surroundings are a major problem in the Philippi...

Appreciation of educators

Image
The "Together4Teachers" theme says that we all share responsibility in supporting educators. While teachers are on the top of education, they certainly do not do it alone. Strong partnerships involving families, communities, and schools form an essential supportive environment for education.           This year, it will be important to appreciate the working of teachers who face many challenges, such as adapting to new methods and dealing with diversified students' needs. Teachers handle all this with terrific resilience and creativity; sometimes, they even take more than what is asked for in ensuring every child gets proper education.           During Teacher Appreciation Month, I hope each person will take time to recognize efforts and actions made on behalf of educational efforts. Every small gesture of appreciation, showing support for their needs, and investing in support for the community c...

Reflection

Image
The first quarter of this year involved a lot of learning and growth. In these months, I learned the art of handling time and productivity. New strategies, tools, and techniques served as gains in optimizing output with a more minimal input. These have deepened not just school-related habits within me but enlightened me that one never stops improving in his professional life.           Indeed, challenges abound in the quarter primarily about getting accustomed to new workflows. It is really difficult balancing school works and personal activities, where somehow I proved badly managed time from time to time. Thus, I had to re-think how to do some of the daily activities and what a very structured way of dealing with my responsibilities would be.         To address these challenges, I adopted structured planning techniques to better prioritize tasks. I defined my study and personal t...
