My Christmas Vacation
The Christmas vacation, from December 21 to January 1, is a special time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. It bridges the end of one year and the beginning of another, allowing us to slow down and focus on what truly matters.
The days leading up to Christmas, from December 21 to 24, are filled with excitement and preparation. We bought decorations, buy gifts, and plan gatherings with my family. These moments remind me of the joy of giving and the effort we make to bring happiness to others.
On Christmas Day, December 25, is the highlight of the season. We went to my cousin's house to celebrate Christmas and give gift to each other, and bond with our family. And ate some of the left over food from Christmas eve. The days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, from December 26 to 30, are quieter and more relaxed. This is the time that I took a rest, because I did a lot of work on Christmas, and most of the time, I played games with my friends.
The last days of vacation, December 31 and January 1, were bursting with hope, excitement, and the joys of a new year. However, the celebrations brought with them long, sleepless nights that eventually caught up on me. Even as much as I enjoyed the energy and fun of those moments, I paid for it with my health. By the time January 2 arrived, I was feeling unwell and could not attend my first day back to class. Missing that day was disappointing because I had been looking forward to starting the year with a fresh mindset, but it reminded me to balance celebration with rest to stay healthy and prepared for the days ahead.
