Even before Spanish rule, Chinese traders influenced Filipino traditions. Over time, many Chinese families settled in the country, making the celebration a big part of Philippine culture. Filipinos also believe in luck and prosperity, similar to Chinese traditions. Many enjoy eating tikoy, preparing round fruits, and watching dragon and lion dances. Festivities in places like Binondo, Manila’s Chinatown, bring excitement with fireworks, parades, and feasts.   New Year, Same Me As the new year begins, many people aim to become someone completely different. But for me, it’s not about being a “new me.” I’m still the same person, just working on letting go of bad habits and negativity that hold me back. Bad habits, such as procrastination, overthinking, or wasting time, weigh us down. They don't define who we are, but they do stop us from reaching our full potential. Instead of trying to change overnight, I'm focusing on small, steady steps to improve. To let go of bad habits, I first need to understand them. Why do I hesitate? Why do I hold onto negative patterns? By figuring out the reasons, I can make real changes, not just quick fixes. This is not perfection. I am aware that I would commit mistakes, and that is just fine. It is about getting back up again and making improvements little by little. My Christmas Vacation

   The Christmas vacation, from December 21 to January 1, is a special time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. It bridges the end of one year and the beginning of another, allowing us to slow down and focus on what truly matters. The days leading up to Christmas, from December 21 to 24, are filled with excitement and preparation. We bought decorations, buy gifts, and plan gatherings with my family. These moments remind me of the joy of giving and the effort we make to bring happiness to others. On Christmas Day, December 25, is the highlight of the season. We went to my cousin's house to celebrate Christmas and give gift to each other, and bond with our family. And ate some of the left over food from Christmas eve. The days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, from December 26 to 30, are quieter and more relaxed.   During the second quarter, I have significantly expanded my understanding of coding and HTML formatting tags. I learned how to structure a webpage effectively using basic tags such as <html>, <head>, <body>, and <div>. I also discovered the importance of semantic tags like <header>, <footer>, and <article> in improving accessibility and readability. Additionally, I explored styling HTML with inline and external CSS and mastered the use of attributes, such as id and class, for better layout management. One major challenge was debugging errors when the page did not render as expected. Misplaced or forgotten closing tags, incorrect nesting of elements, and unfamiliarity with certain attributes caused frustration.
