Thematic assessment

CRB Journey Working on our Community-Based Research (CBR) project taught us the importance of teamwork, trust, and engagement. Choosing a topic was challenging at first, but through observations and interviews, we identified an issue impacting many residents. Finding participants was harder than we expected, some were hesitant to share, while others questioned the potential impact of our research. In this photos, we are preparing our questionnaires to start the survey. And in the other picture, we are on our way to barangay hall to interview some barangay officials. In the first picture, we are asking permission to interview and survey the barangay officials. In the second picture, we are going to Abelan. On February 3, 2025, we proudly presented our research on Abel Iloco in the ICT room, sharing its rich history and cultural significance with passion and pride. My 3rd quarter journey

Image
MY 3RD QUARTER JOURNEY As the third quarter ends, I reflect on what I have learned. I improved my time management, asked for help when needed, and developed better study habits. I also realized the importance of perseverance and self-discipline in handling difficult subjects. Despite this, I faced challenges, especially in balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. Some subjects were harder, making it difficult to keep up with lessons and deadlines. To overcome these, I created a study schedule, set priorities, and asked for help from teachers and classmates. Taking short breaks and practicing self-care kept me motivated. Moving forward, I will stay organized, improve my study habits, and face challenges with a positive attitude. With determination, I know I can achieve my goals in the next quarter.

From Town to Thriving City

From Town to Thriving City Vigan was once a small municipality known for its rich history and Spanish-era houses. Despite its size, it played an important role in trade and culture during the Spanish period. Over time, it grew into a well-known heritage site, attracting visitors with its colonial architecture and unique traditions. When Vigan became a city, it saw major improvements in tourism, economy, and infrastructure. Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site helped boost its popularity, drawing more tourists to places like Calle Crisologo and local food spots. Businesses and tourism projects helped modernize the city while preserving its historic charm. Today, Vigan is a top cultural and tourist destination in the Philippines. Cityhood has led to better services, governance, and sustainable development. By balancing history and progress, Vigan continues to shine as a model for heritage conservation and modern growth. Chinese New year

Image
Chinese New year Chinese New Year 2025, the Year of the Snake, falls on January 29. Filipinos celebrate it because of long-standing ties with Chinese culture. Even before Spanish rule, Chinese traders influenced Filipino traditions. Over time, many Chinese families settled in the country, making the celebration a big part of Philippine culture. Filipinos also believe in luck and prosperity, similar to Chinese traditions. Many enjoy eating tikoy, preparing round fruits, and watching dragon and lion dances. Festivities in places like Binondo, Manila’s Chinatown, bring excitement with fireworks, parades, and feasts. The Philippine government recognizes Chinese New Year as a special holiday, allowing more people to celebrate. It has become more than a Chinese tradition—it’s a time for family, hope, and new beginnings that Filipinos cherish. Reference: https://cincinnatifamilymagazine.com/chinese-new-year-2025/
